Fall Clothes

I know July is still not over, but I can't help thinking of fall already. It is my favorite season, partly because of all the awesome clothes: boots, sweaters, button-up plaid shirts....so fun! Here are a few things I have on my fall clothing want list.

This Old Navy vest is adorable. I have a jacket similar to it also from Old Navy.

This heart sweater is also from Old Navy. Reminds me of the J. Crew one. But a lot more affordable!

Smoky Mountains

Our family vacation in the Smoky Mountains was wonderful! Such a beautiful area. I managed to get in one outfit shot while we were there. The only day that I looked semi-put together....the rest of the trip was t-shirts and shorts :)

What I Read Wednesday

While I was recovering from getting my wisdom teeth removed (glad that's over!) I read, of course. I had a whole bunch of new books lined up to read, but couldn't help reaching for an oldie but a goodie. The Firm by John Grisham is definitely a favorite with my mom and I. If you've not read this book, it's about a young new law school graduate who gets caught up with a firm that seems to promise him everything he's ever wanted: money, a nice house, brand new car, vacations in the Bahamas, etc. Once the FBI start following him though, he realizes there's a price to pay for all of these nice things.

The Firm is a wonderful book. I've read it several times. It is also a really good movie. I'm sure you've seen it on tv. It seems like it's on all the time. I always enjoy John Grisham's books, but this one is my favorite by far.

High Five for Friday

It's that time again! Linking up to From My Grey Desk for High Five for Friday. Have a good one!

1. Going on vacation next week with my husband and in-laws. I can't wait! Tennessee, here we come :)

2. I'm getting my wisdom teeth out tomorrow. Ok, so that's not really a "high five" worthy post but I'm trying to look at the bright side....you get to eat all the ice cream you want, right? I've already stocked up in anticipation!

3. Another advantage of getting your wisdom teeth removed: being lazy and reading all day! I've also stocked up on books to read this weekend.

What I Read Wednesday

All I (Mackenzie) can say is wow! If you like thrillers, this is the book for you. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn tells the story of a missing wife. It goes back and forth between the husband's point of view in present day and previous diary entries that his wife had written. The husband, Nick, comes home one day to find his wife, Amy gone and there's evidence that leads them to believe she was possibly beaten and kidnapped. The whole time you're reading you can't tell if he committed this crime or not.

I can't really go into much more detail without ruining some surprises for you, so I'm going to leave the review at that. Gone, Girl was a book I could not put down. I kept wanting to know what was going to happen next. I would definitely recommend it!

Mint green

It is HOT here today....milk was a bad choice. ha (Did all you Anchorman fans get that one?) But, maybe black wasn't the best idea. I think I'm ready for fall. My favorite weather and my favorite clothing options!
