I just finished The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman a couple days ago. Before that, my mom had read it also.
The story begins with Tom, who is a lighthouse keeper. He moves to a new town to work and meets Isabelle. They marry and then find out that she's not able to have children. Isabelle is devastated. One evening a boat washes up to shore that has a dead man and a small baby in it. Isabelle pressures Tom to keep it. I won't give anymore away!
The story is well written and keeps you wondering. It is the first book written by M.L. Stedman. I'm anxious to read more of her books now.
