What I Read Wednesday

This week's book is "This Is How It Ends" by Kathleen MacMahon. I devoured this book in just a couple days. It begins with Bruno who comes to Ireland after losing his job on Wall Street to find his distant relatives. He meets Addie who lives in Ireland and a relationship begins from there. Obviously, due to the title of the book, you know the story is not going to end well but throughout the book you're wondering what happens. I won't give away the ending!

The book is the first from this author and I really enjoyed it. It is well-written and I kept wanting to read it to find out what was going to happen to them. Hopefully the author writes another book. I would definitely recommend it!

Murder mystery dinner theater

Gap sweaters

A couple weeks ago Gap was having an awesome sale, so I couldn't help but take advantage of it. Below are the sweaters that I purchased. All three cost me about $80!

This one fit a little big, but will be perfect with a button-up chambray shirt underneath.

This sweater is long and will look great with a pair of leggings.

I found this one in the little girls section! It's also long enough to wear with leggings.

What I Read Wednesday

I loved this book! It's called The Dog Lived (And So Will I) by Teresa J. Rhyme. This is a story about a woman who after 2 failed marriages decides to get it right this time with a new boyfriend, new house and a new dog. When her dog comes down with cancer Teresa did everything she could to save Seamus life. When he was back on the mend, then Teresa was hit with a cancer diagnosis of her own. 

This book will have you laughing and crying as Teresa and Seamus meet and conquer each hurdle.

Denim dress

This dress is one of my favorites. It works for summer and fall. Today it is supposed to be in the low 70's so I skipped the tights and just wore the boots. I did remember to put some self-tanner on my legs last night so I wouldn't scare anyone :)

What I Read Wednesday

I just finished The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman a couple days ago. Before that, my mom had read it also. 

The story begins with Tom, who is a lighthouse keeper. He moves to a new town to work and meets Isabelle. They marry and then find out that she's not able to have children. Isabelle is devastated. One evening a boat washes up to shore that has a dead man and a small baby in it. Isabelle pressures Tom to keep it. I won't give anymore away!

The story is well written and keeps you wondering. It is the first book written by M.L. Stedman. I'm anxious to read more of her books now.

Well these are my first attempts at pictures with my new iPhone. Not the best, but they work. On Saturday my mom and I were doing some shopping and stumbled across the 40% off sale at J. Crew Factory. Amazing! All of their clearance was an extra 40% off. I got a necklace, shirt (the one I'm wearing) and a skirt all for $50! Unheard of.

1. Pumpkin Pie Blizzards are here :) My husband and I shared one Monday night. And then my mom gave me a gift card to DQ to get one for myself! How fun.

2. I got an Iphone 4!!! I've never had a smartphone before. I'm super excited.

3. My mom came by my house this morning before work to bring me a Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks! Such a nice surprise :)
